by the grace of the Lord

Hebrews 10:11-14 (New International Version)

11Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. 13Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, 14because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

This passage in the bible speaks to me about the grace of our God and that of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jesus offered his life as the supreme sacrifice to open the gates of heaven for all of us who believe in Him. It is through this one action of a Man-God so humble that we are reunited with God.

Nothing that we do, even if we do it every second of our waking and sleeping hours will be able to guarantee our entry into the kingdom of the Father.

I will quote from Ephesians 2: 8,9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from youselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do " (Eph. 2:8,9).

I feel so blessed that, inspite of my imperfections and my sins, the Lord constantly talks to my heart and tells me that he can make me whole again. All I need to do is to profess my faith in Him as my Lord and my Savior. He will take care of me and my needs and he will lead me to the right path where the waters are calm and I would not be wanting of anything. He will provide everything I need.

I pray that the Lord will constantly work in my life; that he will continue to be my guide in all the days of my existence here on earth.

Amen
